Waxing is not recommended for users of Accutane.
For facial waxing, please do not use topical treatments/medications [Retinol, Retin-A, Glycolic peels, acid peels, chemicals etc.] for 1 week before waxing.

Clean hygiene is requested every visit.
Hair should be grown out at least 2-3 weeks since shaving/other methods [no need to trim].
Exfoliate the area to be waxed 1-2 days before your appointment.
Avoid tanning [all kinds] for 2 days before waxing.
Avoid extreme heat before a session.
Wear loose clothing.
Limit caffeine if possible as it can cause more sensitivity.
Avoid extreme heat, very hot baths/showers, tanning, pools, exercise/friction for 24 hours.
Breathable, cotton underwear and loose clothing is recommended.
Wait a few hours before applying deodorant/lotions etc.
Gently exfoliate the skin while showering starting 1 day after your appointment, repeating 3-4 times weekly to remove dead skin cells/oils to help prevent and remove ingrown hairs.
[Soft silicone exfoliators are highly recommended - an exfoliating mitt, body towel, glove or brush work as well].
Moisturize skin daily and stay hydrated.
Please do not shave, trim, epilate or use hair removal creams between waxing appointments.
The feeling of body waxing can be described as a "short sharp sting". Breathing techniques and counter pressure are applied to assist in a more comfortable wax session. Taking Ibuprofen 30 minutes prior to your appointment can also help.
I know exactly how it feels but please know that this is what I love to do! I pride myself in fostering a welcoming, relaxed and respectful environment.
It is recommended to start with every 4 weeks and tailor your own schedule from there [as hair growth differs person-to-person]. You can return at 3 weeks but stay within the 6 week mark.
